1. Why do I need Classical Fingers? Classical Fingers ensures your fingers do not lift too high from the surface of the clarinet. In return, this allows you to develop the correct muscle memory of your fingers so you play notes smoother, quicker and more accurately when learning clarinet. 2. I have been playing clarinet for a number of years. Do I still need Classical Fingers? Yes. The chances are that you have picked up some bad habits along the way regarding your finger position and height. This will slow down your progress, especially with faster runs and higher clarinet notes. 3. I struggle with remembering my Right Hand and Left Hand silver keys. Can Classical Fingers help with this?  Yes. Although it is encouraged to avoid touching the guard you can use the guard as a reference for your fingers to locate where the keys are eg. by lifting your fingers up to touch the guard above the silver keys you can try to recognise the angle of the guard in relation to the key you want to remember (try referencing 4 points on the guard with your R.H little fingers to that of the 4 silver keys). 4. Is it okay to touch the guard when I play?   Yes. Your aim is eventually not to touch the guard but this may  take time as your fingers need to adjust to the correct finger position and height. Be mindful of where they touch and try lowering them. You will find that your fingers will naturally stay lower as they will sense there is something above them!  5. Can I make the guard lower? Yes. If you take out the magnet from the middle magnetic band, the guard will simply slide into place and lower the overall height. Please take special care when doing this as the magnet is very powerful. We also sell extender magnets to make it higher. 6. Do the Magnetic Bands fit on all Barrel sizes? Yes. The Magnetic Bands are specifcally engineered to be strong yet flexible enough to stretch over larger Barrel sizes such as Backun etc. 7. Is it available in shops?  Classical Fingers is currently available online and at limited retail stores in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Japan, Poland and Spain. Further potential overseas stores are currently being negotiated. 8. How much does it cost? $89.00 AUD. 9. How much is shipping? We offer Free Shipping Worldwide. 10. How do I assemble Classical Fingers? Detailed instructions are shown on the back of the box provided as well as on the Home page of this website. 11. How do I store Classical Fingers? When you have finished using Classical Fingers, simply clip it to your music stand via the magnets, put it in the pouch or store it away in the box provided. 12. What do I do with the magnetic bands? Simply leave them on the clarinet for ease of use (the clarinet will fit into your case with them still attached). If you do not want them to be on your clarinet either clip them onto your music stand, put them back on the EVA foam they come with or store them in your pouch. 13. Do I need to use Classical Fingers all of the time when I play? No. Classical Fingers is a great learning device but once you can feel the improvement clip the guard to your music stand and test to see if your fingers remain in the correct position whilst playing. However, try to use Classical Fingers as much as possible....the more you use Classical Fingers the better you will play! 14. Does Classical Fingers work on all clarinets? Classical Fingers is designed to work on the majority of B flat clarinets (it also works on clarinets in A but the top magnetic band is positioned slightly lower). It does not work on German system clarinets. Some other clarinets may also vary slightly regarding the set-up due to the age or brand so please contact us if you are unsure. General rule is if a clarinet lyre can fit on the middle joint then Classical Fingers will work.  15. Does Classical Fingers come with a Warranty? Yes. Classical Fingers comes with a 6 month Warranty. To view complete terms please go to Classical Fingers Warranty
